With 20 years of experience running academic-year programs in Nepal, Cornell is launching a new collaboration with the central Tribhuvan University campus in Nepal over the summer. In 2014, there will be two new summer programs, one for undergraduates and one for professional masters students. The undergraduate program will place students to live with families and to teach English in underserved rural schools. The masters program will make placements in a wide range of professional internships. Both programs will also involve coursework in support of these placements, instruction in Nepali, guest lectures, cultural activities, and tours, including a short Himalayan trek. As with all Cornell-Tribhuvan collaborations, these summer programs will involve both Nepalese and American students. ]]>
