He holds the degrees of Licentiate in Mathematics, Licentiate in Computer Science, and a PhD in Computer Science from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium. His main research interests include software development, software maintenance and software evolution with a particular emphasis on the programming angle and tool support.
