I wanted to share a presentation that I did recently to the IO Data Center comprising of CIO’s in the Tri-city areas of Dayton, Indianapolis and Cincinnati. This wasn’t a Hitachi IOT pitch – more of a generic presentation focused on how IOT actually improves customer experience and helps to usher in new business models. I liked the titled and the focus of this presentation as often we delve into technology and details but don't pay due attention to the outcomes and resulting 'change' and how that 'change' will actually impact the overall customer experience to consumers of that product or service. In the process I've also learnt that we need to need understand the how 'the change' or 'outcome' can be delivered and how it integrates into an existing legacy eco-system. With new solutions there are always integration implications and hence the urgency to build open and flexible solutions is becoming a priority and ultimately how we simplify the entire life cycle of solution delivery and embed automated service orchestration will be key factors going forward.]]>
