In 1998, I received my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology/Criminal Justice. In 1999, I received my Masters Degree in Criminal Justice Management and Administration with a specialization in Juvenile Delinquency. I started my career working with at-risk youth and have always had a strong desire to help students succeed in academia, and in life. As a professor at a two-year institution, I repeatedly see students who are academically unprepared for even the most basic courses.
