This past year has been enlightening (to say the very least). I had no idea how unhappy and miserable I was! But it was my marriage--for better, or worse--and in my core, divorce was not an option! No matter what. Where I was devastated a year ago, I am so very thankful for it now! I pray every day that my children continue to heal. As hard as divorce is on us as adults, it tears children to pieces in ways we can't even imagine! In retrospect, however, continuing to raise them in the previous environment potentially could've had even worse consequences later in their lives.
