The objective of this work is to develop a Web Application for Provincial Archives of Santiago de Cuba to facilitate the search and retrieval of information related to the registration of immigrants. At present the system is implemented and providing services. To implement the following technologies were used: Apache 2.4.6, MySQL 5.5.37, PHP 5.5.3 and Drupal 7.28. The scientific research methods used were: Analytic-Synthetic, Inductive-Deductive, Historical-Logical, Modeling, Analysis Documentary, Interview and Observation. The use of the system favors the processes of document management, archiving and digitization of documents relating to the records of arrivals in Cuba between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, contributing to the preservation of historical heritage of our nation and the documentary heritage treasured by this institution. The processes relating to the search and retrieval of records of immigrants are performed according to current policies in the country, allowing a response almost immediately on the information contained in the file archive collections, as opposed to the existing deadlines before the system implementation which ranged between 15 and 30 working days. The system has allowed increased significantly the number of services provided by the institution on funds of immigrants allowing generate revenue by search term and certification of information relating to immigrants guarded in their funds and have significantly increasing the level of satisfaction of the users who need these services.]]>
