As a thought leader in distance learning institutions, I have compiled some key elements to consider when developing online and hybrid courses. These concepts should be helpful in educating students in hybrid, face-to-face, and asynchronous environments. Faculty and course developers should continue to incorporate knowledge relating to demographic shifts, and adaptive learning processes as we meet students where they are in their learning cycles.
