Amazon deforestation todays action tomorrows karma . The Amazon system plays a significant role in the worlds climate as it produces about 20% of the worlds oxygen supply and with the Amazon drainage, basin covers over 8 million km2 and has the largest rainforest on earth. However, more than 20% of the rainforest has disappeared and lost forever. New body culture, tattoo, smart drugs, future fabrics in fashion and a fast reality check on body art, tattoo, yoga, meditation and mind sports /slideshow/reality-check-and-new-body-culture-in-one/11712868 realitycheckandnewbodycultureinone-120222214825-phpapp01
A reality check and new body culture The world around us seems sometimes totally out of control, our lack of ability to catch it and being here and now is difficult. Naturally we come to a point where we feel loose of control and everything feels as a giant chaotic state. We stop and drop out. The capability to grip disappears. Most people drop out of fashion, music, film or digital trends at one point. We tune out and our kids tune in, soon they are also turning out. Their kids continue this merry goes round in a faster and faster way than before. Not unlike the wheel of life and death, (Dharma wheel) this cycle goes on and every time we believe that we see, hear or feel as everything never have been done before. But this, but this is far from the truth. And how many parents have not shaken their heads while the youngest turns up the volume to 11. Parents who scream out; turn of that noise off, you call it music? Its dam noise, forgetting that they heard the same thing from their parents. Where is the borderline between young, old, hippies or punks? The difference between young and old, hippies or punk, local or global culture get mixed and melt different cultural elements together. We are more adaptable than ever, like chameleons we change, adopt and paste into every situation we face, anywhere at any time. Walking global media units receives, sending and sort out information faster and faster. This is a highly dangerous development, everybody needs to disconnect from time to time, but try to take away from whomever the mobile phone and laptop for a week, you will after a day or two see a pale, uncomfortable and highly restless person. If the mobile phone was the modern cigarette Smartphones are the new Heroin, you get highly addicted, but not the same abstinent physical illness. About a week ago day on the tram this young, drunk and homeless boy sit next to me and talk to everyone and he screams out that he did not understand much about it all. I replied as I sat next to him that it was good to hear because I do not understand anything as well. What do I know? I was thinking what do I really know? And I got this lost feeling that everything happening around me is unreal. One see and read all the news about education, terror, war, friends, social media, jobs not jobs, the terrorists in Afghanistan the war in Iraq, Steak or Sushi for dinner, red or blue, Athens or Rome, Facebook or Twitter, blog or web site? And then I just get dizzy. There are so many choices. When I start thinking like this I feel that I am totally losing the grip into the big chaos that surrounds me. ]]>

T-shirts pop culture style icon one /slideshow/history-of-t-shirts-by-kenneth-t-buddhajeans/9864000 historyoft-shirtsbykennethtbuddhajeans-111024181244-phpapp02
T-shirts are a visual history of pop culture from military underwear and blank cotton canvases for self exploring art and political, humorous, sarcastic and brand messages in the total history of fashion. T-shirt has become the icon of pop cultures of all decades and is denim jeans mirror of the upper body language, but in edition to this it has been wearied from everything as suits, weddings, punks, artistes, political events. Military action to clever brand awareness marketing actions. If there is a unique common icon of pop culture is the t-shirt. To do the whole history of t.-shirt is imposable to do within my abilities to research so I have used some really good sources of information as well as a few of my personal favorite tees. Unfortunately as I over the years have from time to time a stall open at some market I sold a few of them. Amongst them some hand printed and exclusive tees made by Malcolm Mc Laren in the Sex pistols. Others has been sold as The who signed tees from the 70s, the unique messages from The The, Bauhouse, Krafrtwerk German editions, Dead Kennedys early San Francisco Tees and a few well know street art artists and Gallery artistes from NY, London, and Tokyo to China. The common message is that a tee shirt has become my closest friend to a worn out Levis 501 jeans. I favorite Two Pack Tees from Levis was my favorite even not the original tees. But I used to see how long I could wear them and later on I made spray painted one off as Sonic youth and my best one for a Fugazize concert in the early 90s. A stencil and black car paint did the job them. Smelly as hell as I had to use my washing machine otherwise a mixture of car paint and beer would knock us all out in madhouse of an Fugazi punk concert somewhere in a squatted house in Oslo where I only made 10 ones and till own the one I kept myself. To make them yourself is quite a job if you like them worn out and punk street wise. Please do not buy those made by big chains as they are in bad quality and mostly environmental unfriendly ones. But if you buy a few 2nd hand or find in your back closet some old ones or as your neighbor metal fn or an old punk friend I am sure he will give you some he would have throes in the garbage a longtime ago. You can overprint almost anything and I really like the dirty white ones my self. You can beat them up first handed by using warm water and primp stones in a sac or I you make the put them in a washing machine use a three or four bags of pirmstons or other ones a bit heavy and wash them together with a 105-10 ones. Do not add to much washing powder as it does harm to the environment, but make sure use as little water and temperature as possible and control the float of water. The water can be used the flush down the toilets or other activities that require water that does not need to be as clean to begin with. A motor engine or a really dirty old car. That should do it. Thanks to sources as the brilliant books Ripped-]]>
