Hypothesise like you Mean it! /slideshow/hypothesise-like-you-mean-it/116316533 hypothesesmetrics-180924171450
This session - developed and delivered in collaboration with Lisa Long - was an introduction to the essential components of an effective hypothesis and meaningful metrics. We wanted to give the attendees a working knowledge of what makes good AND bad hypotheses and metrics, as well as simple tools to help attendees design & iterate with confidence. The session was aimed at people who are unfamiliar with well-structured hypotheses for product design & testing purposes, or who just want to refresh and hone their testing and iteration skills. The goal was to give participants a working understanding of why good hypotheses and metrics are important for good iterative design, and to walk them through a simple set of guidelines, canvases and techniques for establishing both.]]>

How to Partner with Developers When You Don’t Code - SXSW 2019 submission /camassey/how-to-partner-with-developers-when-you-dont-code-sxsw-2019-submission sxswsessionsubmission-180723002707
SXSW 2019 proposal by Jenny Wanger & Chris Massey for the 'Tech Industry & Enterprise' track. Working successfully with engineers when you don't code yourself is all about engaging them in the creative process. This presentation will cover Chris' & Jenny's experiences of partnering with developers and testers, while being non-technical themselves. They'll discuss some of the challenges & pitfalls of collaborating closely with a technical team, as well as some tried-&-tested ways to build a strongly engaged partnership, and why you should try. ]]>

If you're creating digital content, you already have a hybrid role. As modern content teams start to adopt Agile techniques and processes, the key skills and practices involved are transforming the way we collaborate. Rather than focusing purely on our own 'core' skills, we need to embrace the fact that - by collaborating closely - we're already sharing our skills and helping the people around us become more 'T-shaped'. At the Agile Content Conf 2015, I described the last year of my journey, and the techniques I've learned and applied as I've embraced a more multi-faceted role.]]>
