I've spent over a decade working in academia in Ireland and the USA, conducting research and teaching on a wide range of environmental issues from water quality to bioenergy and greenhouse gas emissions. In 2008, I had the opportunity to witness the effects of climate change in the Arctic first hand as Ben & Jerry's climate ambassador for Ireland.
