As cultural institutions, archives, museums and libraries, incorporate a set of assets, which we know have great links and which are now considered shared ownership by the citizen. The society intends to make use of that property, so whether the archivist or librarian, or the curators, work in three institutions that are increasingly close and interconnected. Through some examples and recent literature we explain how the custodial dimension, culturalist and historicist of the archives has been changing with the result that their current ?culturers? retire, requiring that the archivist acquire new skills to meet in particular the introduction of IT and the increasing the connection with the community, as I do, in part, librarians and curators.]]>
