My recent focus has been on why food prices are so high and the impact on food security. I have done several research projects in Africa (Côte d´Ivoire, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia and Zambia), as well as South East Asia (India, Cambodia and Indonesia). I am currently doing a PhD on transaction risks in sesame markets in Ethiopia with Wageningen University, Development Economics (see http://bit.ly/V1mMFO).
