I have built sizing/monitoring tools for NetApp FlashAccel, the MixApart caching layer for Hadoop, and the Bonfire system for warming up large caches. I also collaborate with academia to study longer time-horizon problems; MixApart (University of Toronto) and Bonfire (University of Wisconsin) are two such examples.
