Despite the great volumes of work being produced in the sense of capitalizing on the fourth industrial revolution technologies to apply predictive maintenance in the manufacturing industry, there is a lack of research concerning the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies. This study attempts to do this by examining both the trends and the challenges of the application of stances upon Industry 4.0 and the PdM in mine. The main results show that the use of data is embraced as an essential part of the Industry 4.0 implementation processes in predictive maintenance. Moreover, these situations contradict each other, i.e. trends and challenges differ in the traditional environment in comparison to some difficult environments. Use of these codes, during PdM practice, will enable a practitioner to know what to expect and serve as a foundation for further research. The Industry 4.0 era holds enormous capacity for the enhancement of industrial process efficiency, mainly where preventive maintenance is a key consideration. The Internet of Things (IoT), which is interconnected and decentralized in Industry 4.0, makes it possible to get any kind of data without location or time dependency and optimize maintenance schedules. Placing a significant focus on these features facilitates condition-based maintenance, improvement of maintenance as appropriate, and time-condition-based maintenance when necessary.]]>

The rule of thumb technique was applied for data collection and analyzed on Smart-PLS. It has been reported that digital leadership and learning significantly influence in digital transformation that further leads to sustainable performance. Furthermore, the in the presence of digital transformation the relationship between digital leadership and sustainable performance, and between digital learning and sustainable performance becomes significant. The studys findings suggested ensuring a digitally-oriented leadership approach for ensuring digital transformation and sustainable performance.

THE INFLUENCE OF INDONESIAN HISTORY ON QUR'ANIC INTERPRETATION: INSIGHTS FROM GADAMERIAN HERMENEUTICS /slideshow/the-influence-of-indonesian-history-on-qur-anic-interpretation-insights-from-gadamerian-hermeneutics-bce1/272099327 4gra24v63i0913752850-240930061904-f0d07f96
This article examines the profound influence of Indonesian history on the interpretation of the Qur'an within the Indonesian context, employing a Gadamerian hermeneutical framework. Through a detailed analysis of historical events, cultural evolutions, and religious discourse in Indonesia, we explore how Gadamer's concepts of "fusion of horizons" and "historical consciousness" provide insightful lenses for understanding the dynamic interplay between the Qur'an's sacred texts and Indonesian societal norms and values. The study highlights the role of historical experiences, including colonialism, nationalism, and modernization, in shaping the interpretative approaches adopted by Indonesian Muslims. Using qualitative research methods, we delve into case studies that illustrate the localized interpretations of the Qur'an, revealing a unique blend of Islamic teachings with indigenous traditions and contemporary issues. The findings underscore the significance of historical context in Qur'anic interpretation, suggesting that Indonesian Islam exemplifies a distinctive model of religious understanding that bridges the gap between tradition and modernity. This investigation not only contributes to the broader discourse on Islamic hermeneutics but also offers a critical perspective on the interrelation between history and religious interpretation in a Gadamerian framework, emphasizing the dialogical process of understanding that transcends temporal and cultural boundaries. ]]>

Goodwill-value is an intangible asset that helps to generate more value-added benefits for socioeconomic development if well planned. The goodwill value of a community can act as an agent that makes this community become a source of preference and trust. In this paper, we investigate the goodwill-value of Africa using Rwanda and its communities as a reference. The Rwanda's strategic initiatives post-genocide is examined to realise how they all played a role in enhancing the country goodwill-value, making it a model for other African nations. Through a holistic approach, the research highlights the importance of investing in social assets, cultural heritage, and environmental conservation to build goodwill value. The study concludes with a proposed framework for building goodwill value in African communities, emphasizing the importance of social assets, education, quality of life, cultural heritage, social cohesion, and environmental conservation. This framework aims to guide other African communities in enhancing their goodwill value to achieve sustainable development and improve the well-being of their populations. The findings suggest that cultivating goodwill can lead to sustainable development, economic growth, and improved community well-being across Africa. ]]>

TRUE FRIENDS IN DIFFICULT TIMES, CHINA AND ZIMBABWE ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL RELATIONS DURING COVID-19 PERIOD, (2020-2022) /slideshow/true-friends-in-difficult-times-china-and-zimbabwe-economic-and-political-relations-during-covid-19-period-2020-2022/271242261 20-240823055528-3b1721fb
The aim of the study was to examine the relations between Zimbabwe and China during the Covid-19 out break between 2020 and 2022 based on the claim that the two countries are all weather friends. The ties between Zimbabwe and China can be traced back to the days of war for the independence of Zimbabwe and the Look East Foreign Policy of 2003, which signaled Harares shift from its Western allies to the Chinese, after a fallout and accusations of human rights abuses. The research sought to understand how the relationship between Zimbabwe and China unfolded during the pandemic. The research used secondary research meaning that desktop research was conducted by going through journal articles, newspapers, and other credible sources of information, such as official government statements from both governments. The findings revealed that China and Zimbabwe helped each other during the pandemic by increasing frequency of praise rhetoric on international platforms and this helped China a lot due to Covid19 backlash it faced at the time. China increased support for mining and agriculture in Zimbabwe during the period under review and also invested heavily in power generation projects in Zimbabwe thereby demonstrating the closeness of the ties between Harare and Beijing during the uncertain phase of global history. However, Chinese companies devastated the environment in Zimbabwe and were accused of gross worker rights violations and the government of Zimbabwe was powerless to stop such actions. Furthermore, Chinese companies benefitted a lot from contracts worth billions of dollars (USD) as they were awarded tenders for jobs that came from the Chinese loans, meaning China left Zimbabwe with debts but improved its economic output. Therefore, whilst Beijing and Harare demonstrated to the world that they are indeed all-weather friends, there was nothing friendly about the conduct of Chinese organisations in Zimbabwe.]]>

THE ROLE OF PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP ON STRENGTHENING THE HEALTH SYSTEMS IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES - THE CASE OF KOSOVO AND ALBANIA /slideshow/the-role-of-public-private-partnership-on-strengthening-the-health-systems-in-developing-countries-the-case-of-kosovo-and-albania/271002472 201cp24v21i0713147897-240814045007-dfea3b91
Intoduction - Low- and middle-income countries in the Western Balkans Region that continue to go through challenging periods of political and socio-economic transition face similar challenges in their capacity to improve population health. Kosovo and Albania continue to face such challenges, of the nature of inadequate policies, infrastructure in the public sector, stable financing and the lack of necessary capacities to provide quality health services that meet the needs of citizens. Lack of Health Information System in the health system of Kosovo and largely in the whole territory of Albania, inadequate health infrastructure, out-of-pocket payments of about 40%, lack of modern health equipment and technology and long waits for specific treatments at any level where solutions are mostly not provided, impose pragmatic solutions with affordable costs on the part of decision-making institutions in both countries. The beginning of the implementation of this new approach and technical managerial platform Public Private Partnership (PPP) in some sectors of the health systems of both countries is being seen as an alternative which might neutralize these challenges of the health systems of both countries. Aim - of this paper is to make a comprehensive analysis considering the impact of the application of PPPs in the health sector of the two countries for strengthening, raising the quality and reforming process according to the contemporary trends of the health systems in both countries. Research methodology - is based on a mixed approach, using a qualitative method and semi structured interviews with managers of different health system institutions as research tools, as well as the comparative method for both countries and specific sectors of the health systems at the secondary and tertiary levels of the sector. Results - from the findings of this research, it results that in some specific sectors of the health systems of both countries, the application of PPPs is seen as a real and necessary solution when it is well managed andimplemented in raising the quality of health services and protecting patients from financial risk. Conclusions - we estimate that the application of PPPs in a certain sector of the health systems of both countries strengthens the health systems, raises the quality of health services, reduces costs and reduces the financial risk for patients but it has to be managed correctly. ]]>

MAPPING RECONSTRUCTION OF GAZA TO OVERCOME DONORS' FATIGUE /slideshow/mapping-reconstruction-of-gaza-to-overcome-donors-fatigue/270970564 10gra24v63i0713148160-240813061838-30ea9a8a
As the world witnesses the ongoing War on Gaza, characterized by mass displacement and widespread destruction that is never precedented in modern human history, this situation prompts urgent questions about the future mapping of reconstruction efforts. The challenges, timelines, key actors, and crucial elements for effective, human-centred recovery become complex, yet essential to be tackled with defined problem-solving techniques to avoid fatigue of donors. The continued military campaign has resulted so far in over 38,387 Palestinian deaths, more than 92,058 injuries, and the destruction of over 60% of buildings, making the area virtually uninhabitable. While the extent of future destruction remains uncertain, planning for post-conflict reconstruction is vital. This involves learning from past efforts and challenges to shape effective future strategies. Taking into consideration that Gaza has been under prolonged occupation and wars in the last two decades that ended with multiple incomplete reconstruction attempts. The authors study the unprecedented destruction since October 7th, what type of radical recovery plan is needed for reconstruction to achieve tangible results, including the parallel quality of life needs. The study aims to contribute to identifying the new needs for the reconstruction of Gaza by examining its context after October 7th, 2023 and comparing the past strategies and other post-war rebuilding efforts. The implication of the study is s emphasises key factors that need to be taken into consideration when shaping Gaza's upcoming reconstruction strategies by all the concerned players. ]]>

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES RESHAPING FINANCIAL REPORTING, TRANSPARENCY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN PUBLIC SECTOR ORGANIZATIONS /slideshow/digital-transformation-technologies-reshaping-financial-reporting-transparency-and-accountability-in-public-sector-organizations/270969495 24v400708-240813054357-6ce3cf17
This study delves into the transformative potential of digital technologiesartificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and big data analyticswithin the realm of public sector accounting. These technologies are reshaping traditional financial reporting practices by enhancing transparency, efficiency, and accountability, which are crucial for robust governance and building public trust. The paper draws on both quantitative data analysis and qualitative case studies from various public institutions that have successfully implemented these technologies. The findings highlight that blockchain technology offers unparalleled transparency through immutable and timestamped records, significantly reducing opportunities for fraud and enhancing auditability. AI contributes to heightened accountability by enabling sophisticated compliance monitoring and fraud detection through advanced pattern recognition and anomaly detection in large datasets. Big data analytics enhances efficiency by automating routine tasks, optimizing resource allocation, and providing real-time insights for informed decision-making. Moreover, the study identifies several theoretical frameworks underpinning the adoption of these technologies, such as the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Institutional Theory, which provide insights into the drivers and challenges of digital transformation in the public sector. The case studies presented demonstrate the practical applications, benefits, and obstacles faced during the implementation of these technologies, offering valuable lessons for other public sector organizations. The paper concludes with strategic recommendations, emphasizing the need for comprehensive planning, significant investment in IT infrastructure and staff training, phased implementation approaches, active stakeholder engagement, and continuous review and adaptation processes. These steps are essential for ensuring the successful integration of digital technologies in public sector accounting, ultimately enhancing service delivery and reinforcing good governance practices.]]>

BACTERIOLOGICAL SURVEY OF DRINKING WATER IN PRIZREN /slideshow/bacteriological-survey-of-drinking-water-in-prizren/270766088 149cp24v21i0712755562-240805051904-85524b83
The study presents the process of controlling and monitoring water quality for human consumption, especially bacterial contamination. Sampling was carried out in cooperation with the Laboratory of the Institute of Public Health in Prizren, where bacteriological analyses were also carried out. Within 2-3 hours of collection, all samples were transported in icebox containers to laboratories for testing. All samples were tested for counting Total coliform bacteria, Coliform bacteria of fecal origin, Total bacteria of aerobic mesophilic bacteria, and Streptococcus of fecal origin. For large analysis or R3 for testing, 16 water samples were taken. The samples were taken at different collection points such as: at the sources known as the "40 wells" and at households. 8 water samples were taken at water sources and 8 other samples were taken at different points in households or schools. It turns out that out of 16 drinking water samples, only one is outside the standards. The same sample comes from the direct source and represents the untreated water. From the results found, it appears that the consumption of untreated water should be avoided. First-line protection of water sources should be added. Water treatment and production plants should increase cooperation with laboratories for water analysis and compliance with drinking water quality standards. ]]>

The are many methodological tools for the delivery of empirical research, however their outcome on socio-economic projects takes a long time to prove its efficacy. This paper investigates if one can develop the efficacy of outcomes through exploratory visits. The methodology explores how the exploratory visit could help to test many variables through the tools of observation and learning by exploring. The proposed framework set a direction for a compressed methodological tool for qualitative research. The data can be generalised due to the variety of environment and type of projects done in eight countries for a period of over four years. The implications of this work it clarifies the details needed for the success of the exploratory visits, specifically the pre-requisites. The limitations of the paper is that the methodology is only fully experimented by the researchers, despite it is now being transferred to many coordinators on the field. ]]>

A SMART SURVEILLANCE ESTABLISHMENT IN AGRICULTURE /slideshow/a-smart-surveillance-establishment-in-agriculture/270685205 2-240802050747-d19d83b7
As every individual knows, agriculture's history dates back several thousand years. Agricultural is a great deal of important segment of the country's economy, and it contributes significantly to the nation's economic and social progress. Agriculture is a type of science that involves producing vegetation and livestock. A significant proportion of the population in economies that are developing is involved in agriculture, in either a direct or indirect way. This study gives the adoption of LORA in the agricultural field and the view of state of the art solutions for the smart agriculture to look at the potential of the technology in different infield applications. Emerging technology for networks, including as WSN and IoT, weren't previously straightforward to design and implement in agriculture. The increase in the rate was not increased by employing outmoded, traditional methods and technologies. Furthermore, rapid population growth cannot match human needs and desires. A number of efforts have been made to increase agricultural productivity. Yet, adverse atmospheric conditions along with frequent infestations of pests cause agriculture damage. In such a case, the incorporation of modern technology such as improved sensors and the Internet of Things (IoT) could increase crop yields while minimizing economic loss. Imagine the scenarios namely irrigation system, plantation, and crop monitoring, tree monitoring and livestock monitoring which shows the heterogeneous requirements in terms of network bandwidth density sensors complexity and energy demand, as well as the late decision making. This study guides the formers in developing countries to improve their farming profit with less man power. Lora-based solution works on these above mentioned scenarios to look into the scalability interoperability network architecture and energy efficiency and provide the possible future research directions. ]]>

OPTIMIZING LOAD DISTRIBUTION FOR EFFICIENT CONTENT DELIVERY NETWORKS IN SUBURBAN AREAS /slideshow/optimizing-load-distribution-for-efficient-content-delivery-networks-in-suburban-areas/270684795 6-240802045201-3eda5fec
Ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow is crucial for the efficient design and deployment of content delivery networks. The growing need for internet bandwidth in suburban areas has pushed service providers to upgrade their networks in order to meet the increasing demands. Nevertheless, it is essential to consider the importance of resource optimization in terms of reducing costs. An alternative plan must be devised by the service provider to effectively manage unpredictable fluctuations in demand. Enhancing the efficiency of computational resources enables network operators to adjust resource quantities in response to fluctuating traffic demands. Datacenters are interconnected using optical networking technologies. Our research focuses on developing a load distribution architecture that optimizes network utilization by minimizing redundancy. To optimize the utilization of these resources, it is crucial to strategically arrange the placement of SMF in OXCs. This will enable the establishment of a network of optical paths that effectively connect the data centers catering to users. Using SFPs of higher order will result in higher initial installation costs. However, the cost of upgrading the switches to meet the growing demand can be fairly substantial. Various devices can be used to establish network connectivity and facilitate the exchange of data. Afterwards, the proposed work is validated to assess its optimization and efficiency through the application of the Porter 5 force model. The results indicate that the proposed method of implementing higher order SFP is an effective approach for addressing the growing need for increased bandwidth. ]]>

THE IMPACT OF INTERNAL AUDIT FUNCTIONS ON FINANCIAL REPORTING QUALITY IN LIBYAN COMMERCIAL BANKS /slideshow/the-impact-of-internal-audit-functions-on-financial-reporting-quality-in-libyan-commercial-banks/270314762 24v400603-240718095534-ccb36c69
This study evaluates the impact of internal audit functions (IAFs) on financial reporting quality (FRQ) among Libyan commercial banks. An analysis is conducted using International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) regarding attributes and evaluation standards. To achieve the research aim, questionnaires were distributed to auditors across Libyan banks. Responses were collected from 309 participants, of which 297 were deemed suitable for analysis. Results indicate a statistically significant positive relationship at the 0.05 level between strength of IAFs and FRQ. Dimensions of effective IAFs like strategic planning, independence and productivity promotion each demonstrate individual influence. Additionally, evidence suggests ISAs and their standards/attributes moderate the link between IAF dimensions and FRQ. Specifically, adherence to ISA attributes and evaluation criteria significantly affects the association between independent and dependent variables. These findings imply challenges to ISA adoption must be addressed through establishing globally recognized high-quality accounting standards. This would enhance transparency, accountability and efficiency across global financial systems. ]]>

A STUDY ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS BY LISTED COMPANIES OF INDIA /slideshow/a-study-on-the-implementation-of-sustainable-development-goals-by-listed-companies-of-india/270314437 24v400601-240718093541-002aa73b
In 2017, the United Nations (UN) member countries embraced the 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development as a guiding framework. The implementation of the SDGs can solely be routed through the government and corporations of these member states. To cater to this development, in 2021, Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) was established. This report, which primarily focuses on non-financial information, is obligatory for the leading (by market capitalization) one thousand listed companies from FY23. This paper employs a sample of 178 BRSR reports of listed companies for FY22 and attempts at quantifying and analysing the reporting of SDGs by these companies. The report is divided into three sections and includes the nine core tenets outlined by the National Guidelines on Responsible Business Conduct (NGRBC). Qualitative research work has been conducted where recurring sustainability themes conveyed through the reports have been captured using computer coding and analyzed. The study reveals that certain SDGs are focused upon more as compared to the others. Additionally, the study, provides a detailed description of the extent of mapping charted for each of the SDGs by these companies. The work determines that the listed companies in India have prioritized SDG targets in their businesses. They have also begun measuring, analyzing and reporting these targets. However, as identified by the study, there is further scope for scaling-up this reporting, integration and implementation of SDGs. ]]>

Credit default prediction is a crucial task for financial institutions as they aim to minimize future losses associated with credit risk. Statistical models and machine learning (ML) algorithms have become prevalent in the field of credit risk modeling. This study compares and contrasts five different ML algorithms- Random Forest (RF), Adaptive Boosting (AdaBoosting), Gradient Boosting (GB), XGBoosting (XGB), and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) - to predict the credit default risk of SMEs in an emerging market economy. The study provides a step-by-step model development approach and evaluates the performance of each model using various performance evaluation metrics, including accuracy, precision, recall, F1-Score, and Area Under Receiver Operating Characteristics (AUROC) curve. The feature importance of different models is also analyzed to draw inferences. The results show that RF outperforms other models in terms of accuracy, AUROC, and F1-Score. The findings of this study can help financial institutions in making more informed decisions regarding credit default prediction in emerging market economies. ]]>
