In particular, I have been involved or leading the assembly and analysis part of various key genome projects at Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, including the parasitic worms (helminths) and yeast resequencing genome projects by taking the advantage of next-generation sequencing (NGS). My PhD research can be broadly classified into population genomics, and I am especially interested in the evolution and effect of complex life cycles that are present in a diverse range of species.
