Beginning in July 2003, and, having completed most of my in-class studies by Sept. 2005, I took a break from classes from 2005 - 2008, to work for a public relations firm. As soon as I was laid off, I returned to school to complete my teaching credential and Masters in Education. On August 30, 2010 I started my new career as an Art and Design Teacher at Kearny High School, a mere 2-mile walk from my house.
