My first school had thirty kids for eight grades and since we didn't have a gym, PE was held every Friday at Dodge Ridge the ski resort five miles away. When I was eight we moved to Bend Oregon where my Dad became the first director of the Lava Lands Visitor Center. In Bend I learned many outdoor skills like rock climbing, kayaking, orienteering, cave exploring & moto cross. I was taking lesson to fly gliders, but never finished. My Mom was my first Den Leader in Cub Scouts when I was eight. I stay in Scouting and became an Eagle Scout in 1982. My Eagle project was removing lumber and concrete from an old s
