The achievements of the Woodlands Trail and Park in creating a legacy for future generations has continued despite devastation brought by Hurricane Katrina. The team has continued to accomplish its mission in an area that sustained significant damage. 609-acres of one of Louisiana’s last remaining coastal forests has been undergoing restoration and reforestation to enhance vital habitat for over 100 species of migratory birds. The vision of Woodlands Trail and Park is to be the region www.woodlandstrail.org
