My family (the Smiths) have long encouraged us all to be servants of God, to serve society with our numerous gifts, and to NEVER MAKE EXCUSES. I was never told that I DID NOT have the ability to achieve and to be successful because of my gender or my ethnicity. We must teach our children that there are many opportunities for service to society, that they can achieve their goals, and that they can have joy in the midst of challenges.
