Generative AI systems are exciting, transformational, disruptive, and emergent. New AI tools are being incorporated into library subscriptions and systems, and presumably at increasing rates in the future. Library AI tools, especially ones trained using high-quality content within library databases, may provide better outputs than tools trained on open-web content that might be subject to garbage in, garbage out problems and AI hallucinations. This presentation is about two new AI services the Worcester State University Library launched in November 2024—EBSCO’s AI Insights, and JSTOR’s Beta Interactive Research Tool.
