Natasha was 18 years old, young and invincible. She had only just begun her life. Then in one moment it was all taken away from her. She made 2 life changing mistakes, one was to get into a car with a drunk driver and the other was not to fasten her seat belt. The driver went around a corner too fast and rolled the car onto the freeway rolling the car over 8 times. Tasha was ejected out the front windshield and landed on the guard rail. The date was Oct 29th, 2008. She broke her neck and her back in ten places and ruptured her spleen and bruised her lungs. She died at the scene, but then was brought back to life by the first responders. She was then rushed to the U of A hospital and spent the next year between that hospital and the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. After being diagnosed as a quadriplegic, the doctors said that she would not breathe, eat, or even talk on her own again, let alone walk. Now years later Natasha is a University Student attending the University of Regina, and public speaking. Her goal is to bring awareness to people on how quickly, on bad mistake can change your life forever. We all think we are invincible and bad things always happen to others – but when that decision costs you your life or changes it dramatically for the rest of your life, it can be devastating. ]]>
