This research is based on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) simulation of a model proposed by Milan Simek in which there is a predefined field of particular area. The aim is to place various sensor in this area and find the shortest path route to the sink node which is at a fixed location. There are two approaches for the sensor placement, either random topology is selected in which sensors are placed at random location or a grid topology in which sensors are placed in fixed position. We have to find the throughput and mean energy consumption for the sensors which send packets to the sink node in a given amount of time. In the case when, the energy given to the sensor is utilized by energy consumption during packet sending to sink node, then the particular node will be dead and its route to receiver is closed. ]]>

The purpose of this research was to use a body sensor network to analyze falls in elderly. Real-time data from Shimmer device could be the analysis for detection of certain activities of daily livings as well as certain cases of falls. For more information read the publication: http://pdf.medrang.co.kr/Hir/2017/023/Hir023-03-03.pdf]]>
