Before that I was working as Demonstrator /Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry, SKIMS Medical College, Bemina, Srinagar, Kashmir, India. I have also worked as Senior Research Fellow at SKIMS, Srinagar, Kashmir on the ICMR funded project entitled A study of Genetic alterations in Colorectal Cancer in Kashmir Valley. The project involves the analysis of the genetic alteration in the RAS family oncogenes and epigenetic silencing of the p16 gene in the colorectal cases of Kashmiri population.
