I joined the ITU in 2004 and since that time have been leading initiatives on environmental sustainability, e-waste and smart cities. I serve as the Counsellor of Study Group 5 ���Environment, Climate Change and Circular Economy��� and Study Group 20 ���Internet of Things and Smart Cities and Communities���. I am also the ITU-T Focal Point for ICT standardization issues in Latin America. I authored over 40 reports on telecommunication issues. I graduated from the University of Florence and hold a Master in International Cooperation and Telecommunications Law.
