Use AWS to learn how much players love your game by analyzing in-game metrics to measure engagement and retention. Start simple by uploading data to S3 and analyzing it with Redshift. Add additional game data sources and dive deeper with Cohort analysis. Finally I cover real-time analytics with Kinesis and Spark. ]]>

https://cdn.slidesharecdn.com/profile-photo-nateware-48x48.jpg?cb=1722455597 I've spent a decade+ building online games. Nowadays I travel the world for AWS, giving talks and working directly with game developers to leverage AWS for their games. I work with mobile, social, console, and MMO developers to create scalable, cost-effective game architectures. Game analytics is area of focus for me, since there is a huge shift towards free-to-play and in-app purchases. Prior to Amazon I was a Technical Director at PlayStation, and used AWS for several online games starting in 2008, including ModNation Racers and LittleBigPlanet Karting. nateware.com https://cdn.slidesharecdn.com/ss_thumbnails/awsgdc2015multiplayergameloadout-150306142700-conversion-gate01-thumbnail.jpg?width=320&height=320&fit=bounds slideshow/gdc-2015-lowlatency-multiplayer-gaming-with-aws/45532068 GDC 2015 - Low-latency... https://cdn.slidesharecdn.com/ss_thumbnails/awsgdc2015gameanalyticsfinal-150306142426-conversion-gate01-thumbnail.jpg?width=320&height=320&fit=bounds slideshow/aws-gdc2015-gameanalyticsfinal/45532002 GDC 2015 - Game Analyt... https://cdn.slidesharecdn.com/ss_thumbnails/gdc2014awsgamearchitectures-140401192847-phpapp02-thumbnail.jpg?width=320&height=320&fit=bounds slideshow/gdc2014-scalable-gaming-with-aws/33010964 Scalable Gaming with A...
