Although Nyla has been involved with ballet, tap dance, jazz dance, lyrical and cheerleading, the graceful, feminine and emotional aspects of Middle Eastern dance keep her captivated. Nyla Crystal has performed in Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan and teach a week long belly dance workshop series in Reykjavik, Iceland. Nyla Crystal holds a PhD in biochemistry from the University of California at Davis and performs for weddings, corporate events, and birthday parties in Redwood City and the San Francisco Bay Area. www.nylacrystal.com
