For the last eight years, I had the pleasure of working for Stanley Home Products, a 77 years old direct selling company. Direct Selling is the sale of a consumer product or service, away from a fixed retail location through an independent sales force. Products are sold primarily through in-home product demonstrations and/or one-on-one selling. As Vice President of Sales and Development of the Hispanic Market for Stanley Home Products, my job was to motivate, inspire, train and develop marketing and selling plans to assist the nearly 2,000 Spanish speaking representatives in achieving their personal goals for sales and recruiting. My responsibilities also inclu
