In this talk, I asked the question: is there still room for compassion in emergency care? During the talk, I explored the many challenges that prevent us from showing compassion to our patients in contemporary emergency care. I provided some practical tips to overcome those challenges. I also explored the more emotional aspects of compassion, Some of the important challenges to making emotional connections with our patients and how we can address that by looking after ourselves through self compassion. ]]>

It's a world where the diagnostic tests can improve themselves over time using machine learning. That world is here. The Troponin-only Manchester Acute Coronary Syndromes (T-MACS) rule opens up a whole new world of possibilities for ACS diagnosis.
