I worked in the IT industry in the 1980s; the experience has greatly benefited my teaching career at the University of Western Sydney, especially in embracing e-learning and blended learning. Earlier this year I retired from full-time teaching at UWS and now run my own company doing consultancy (higher education) and educational app development.
