Focus is made in the tradition of Odomagana or simply Odo, with all its richly symbolic rituals especially within the domains of its role in the life of the people of the Northern Igbo Land. Particular emphases are made on the role of masquerade cults as means of initiating the young into full adulthood with special reference to Ukana which is present within Igbodo tradition practiced by a group of towns. ]]>
