Now days as we are moving towards the development, we have to improve our technology. Big steps towards the technological improvement are robotics, robot and nanotechnology. Robotics is a branch of engineering that involves the conception, design, manufacture, and operation of robots. This field overlaps with electronics, computer science, artificial intelligence, mechatronics, nanotechnology, and bioengineering. A robot is a reprogrammable, multifunctional manipulator designed to move material, parts, tools or specialized devices through variable programmed motions for the performance of a variety of tasks. In this paper we explained various types of robots. But from this we concentrate on the industrial robot. Now days we use robot in industry for assembly, cutting, grinding, polishing, finishing, handling, sealing, gluing, spraying,Palletizing, painting, coating, welding, etc. There are various advantages like quality, savings, safety, production;but as well as use of robot have certain disadvantages like expense, ROI,expertise, safety. Safety is a main problem and also robots require high space area. So for overcoming this problem we can use nanotechnology in robotics. Nanotechnology means as ‘engineering at a very small scale’, and this term can be applied to many areas of research and development – from medicine to manufacturing to computing, and even to textiles and cosmetics. Also by combining robotics and nanotechnology we get nanorobotics a new concept and we explained it in our paper.]]>
