I got my start in the role of 60s singer Sam Cooke (1988). A year later I appeared as a gangster in the film Bix Beiderbecke (1989). I was also cast as an extra in the horror film "Candyman," (1990) and the Wayans brothers comedy "Mo' Money." (1991) By the age of 20, I worked as a stuntman on different Independent films. My first stunt job was for a boxing movie in which I doubled for one of the supporting actors, that film was "Gladiator," (1991) starring James Marshall "Twin Peaks," and Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr. I began training as a pro wrestler.
