They all hail from Khayelitsha Site B. The crew Gudfellaz was established in late 2011. They met on 2009 through hip hop circles; they became friends and ended up doing music together, with other artist as well, at Ghetto Rhythms now known as Fireburn. They parted ways with Ghetto Rhythms after a year they’ve been working there. They then formed the crew Gudfellaz alongside Matto, who have been their friend for the whole time being. Petty 'Gudfellaz' ended up parting ways with Matto due to him not being fully commitment to the group. The formation of the crew was inspired by
