MY EARLY YEARS Born in a remote village , Hota ,in Pakpattan District of Punjab, I had no idea of electricity or metaled road till I traveled on horseback and witnessed them in towns (like Bahawalnager and Pakpattan) a days journey away. All I remember of my childhood, is chasing water Buffaloes with wanton boys, cycling on dirt roads and enjoying the ultimate luxury ___ sleeping under a greenwood tree on a summer afternoon or having kerosene lit lamp by my bedside on dark nights. Belonging to an elite Rajput landed family (Hotiana) I was told by village folk, I need no education as I was a big Khan or Sardar. A refugee from Luknow India got job of Vet Dispenser in our village in 19
