Dr. Mfinanga is a public health and clinical research consultant with 93 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and has 20 years experience in research. Dr. Mfinanga is employed by the National institute for Medical Research (NIMR), at level of Chief Research Scientist. He is the Centre Director for NIMR, Muhimbili Medical Research Centre. He is also a Deputy Director for Afrique one consortium and coordinator for the TB node of excellence of East Africa under East African Consortium for Clinical Research.
