Courtney Smith, a student at the University of Denver, feels dependent on coffee to keep her mood upbeat. She notes that friends and professors can tell if she has had coffee based on her demeanor. Beans, a student-run caf¨¦ located in the middle of campus, has become a popular location serving over 100 customers per day. One student, Goetz, reflects that coffee at Beans always seems to bring people together on campus. Smith states that coffee is not just a drink at the university, but a culture. Students drink an average of 2-5 cups of coffee per day to keep up with their rigorous academic and social schedules.

Beans is a student run caf¨¦ that is located in the middle of campus. Beans has become a happening location, serving over a 100 happy caffeine consuming customers a day.
¡°The one thing that I do love about Coffee on the University of Denver¡¯s campus is that it always seems to bring people together,¡± states Goetz after reflecting on the amount of time that she spends in the student run coffee shop Beans.
¡°Coffee is not just a drink. It is a culture here on Campus¡±, states Smith.
The average to moderate healthy intake of caffeine is approximately 300mg, which looks like 3 cups of coffee or 4 cups of tea.
