I have worked on small molecule inhibitors in inflammation and arthritis in my first postdoc using an animal model and cell culture, as well as on an ulcer model during my PhD. course. 1. Currently, I am working on immune pathology underlying inflammation and tissue damage in rheumatoid arthritis which involves an intricate interplay between multiple immunological and biochemical mediators. Cytokines and chemokines represent the key immune mediators that trigger cascade of reactions that drive processes such as angiogenesis and proteolytic damage to tissues including bone and cartilage.
