MATERIALS REQUIRED
Pots (2)
Sodium chloride (or common salt)
Water
2. In TWO pots have a crop or plant of your choice
In one pot irrigate with normal water
In another pot irrigate with 5% of sodium chloride water
( 50g of sodium chloride (or common salt) dissolved in 1 litre of water)

3. Observe the crop day by day for one week. In the pot irrigated with
sodium chloride water, the plant shows symptom of stress and
slowly dies indicating toxicity
