I am Sarah Jane Salgado Gandia, better known as "SJ" started my career as a songwriter when I was in highschool. I was the youngest competitor as a composer for the renowned Metro Manila Music Festival (Las Pinas Division). I may have not bagged the first place but it paved the way for me to be noticed by Octo Arts International. In 1991, my song, "Each Time I See You" was included in Jaimie Rivera's album entitled Second Thoughts. My song, "You Will Always Be" was chosen by Alpha Records to be Shirley Fuentes' carrier single for her debut album.
