My name is Skylar Conover and I am 22 years old. I was diagnosed with facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy with a slight limb-girdle muscular dystrophy in March 2005 when I was 15. However, I didn’t let it stop me from living my life and pushing forward. I graduated from Allen High School in 2008, and I received my associates of art degree from Collin College. I attended UNT majoring in Rehabilitation Studies with a double minor in Human Services and Addictions and also earned my certificate in Substance Abuse and Addictions in May 2012. I am now in Graduate school at UNT working towards my masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling.
God has done amazing things in my life and put the
