The document summarizes an LPS International Language Curriculum Meeting that took place on October 25, 2013. The purpose of the meeting was to create a K-12 process for curriculum development led by teacher leaders to improve curriculum, instruction, and assessment district-wide. The vision is to provide access to a guaranteed and viable curriculum. Language team leaders for Chinese, French, German, Latin, and Spanish were identified. Next steps include identifying priority standards that are essential for students to progress and developing 2-3 common summative assessments for the second semester.
