3M Greece was recognized by the Athens University of Economics and Business for its support of the university's Marketing Graduate Program. 3M Greece built relationships with Greek educational institutions to increase awareness of its brand among business students and future business leaders. As part of a student project on 3M's brand, three graduate students developed a marketing communications plan and recommendations for 3M Greece. One student was later hired by 3M Greece. The partnership provides opportunities for students to learn how theory is applied in practice at a multinational company. It also strengthens 3M's brand awareness among younger audiences. 3M Greece continues to support the university through guest lectures and other initiatives led by Natasha Konstantinou.

3M Greece: Recognition from the Athens University of Economics and
Business (January 22, 2015)
3M Greece was recently recognized by the
Athens University of Economics and Business
(AUEB), one of the leading business schools
in Greece, for the support and contribution to
the Marketing Graduate Program of the
University. For that reason, 3M Greece was
recognized and presented with a honorary
plaque during the commencement ceremony
of the graduate students of 2014.
By building strong strategic relationships with
prestigious Greek educational institutions, 3M
Greece increases its awareness & familiarity to
broad business schools audiences and to the
future decision makers of the Greek business
world.
The project under the title name Integrated
Marketing Communications Plan for the 3M Brand
was undertaken by 3 graduate students; among them was the student Elena Fasoula who was
eventually hired by 3M Greece as a Marketing Assistant in the Consumer Business Group.
3M Greece received the relevant thesis project, research results and recommendations on tactics
related to the empowerment of the 3M brand equity in Greece.
The three students had the opportunity to come to 3M Greece and see how theory is set in practice
from a multinational company and had the chance to interview and cooperate with 3M professionals
from the Corporate Marketing department.
3M Greece encourages the cooperation between the subsidiary and the above-mentioned University
as it constitutes a benchmark example of how the academic field can be effectively related to the
business world, it results to mutually beneficial outcomes and, at the same time, it strengthens
brand awareness and familiarity to the under 35 population.
Further tactics to the task of project assignment to university students, include the delivery of
lectures by 3M subject matter experts to both the graduate and undergraduate programs of the
University.
Under this spectrum, the nurturing of the particular strategic relationship continues also in 2015.
The initiative is led by Natasha Konstantinou (Lean Six Sigma, Commercialization, Corporate
Marketing & Public Affairs Manager).
