Personal hygiene is important for health and preventing illness. It involves taking care of one's body through daily habits like showering, washing hair and brushing teeth. The skin is the largest organ and needs to be washed daily with mild soap. Hair does not need to be washed every day to retain its natural oils. Around 75% of people suffer from dental problems caused by foods and drinks exposing teeth to decay daily. Proper personal hygiene habits promote individual and public health.
