Transient response of RC , RL circuits with step inputDr.YNM

The document discusses the transient response of RC and RL circuits to step inputs. It defines the natural and forced responses, and derives equations for the total response as the sum of the two. The total response is an exponential decay from the initial voltage/current to the final steady state value. Cut-off frequency is defined as the frequency at which the gain is 0.707. RC and CR circuits can act as low-pass and high-pass filters respectively, with gain determined by frequency relative to cut-off frequency.
This presentation discusses synchronous and asynchronous counters. It defines a counter as a register that counts clock pulses. Asynchronous counters do not use a universal clock; the clock input of subsequent flip-flops is driven by the output of the previous flip-flop, creating a ripple effect. Synchronous counters simultaneously provide a clock signal to all flip-flops. Asynchronous counters are slower but have a simpler circuit than synchronous counters. The presentation compares the two types and discusses their speed, complexity, cost, and whether they are parallel or serial.
The document discusses a seminar on Schmitt triggers. It begins with an introduction defining a Schmitt trigger as a bistable multivibrator circuit that remains in one state until the input passes a threshold level. It then describes the working of the circuit, including how it uses positive feedback and transistors as comparators to determine high and low thresholds. Finally, it lists important uses of Schmitt triggers such as converting input waveshapes to square waves and detecting when the input crosses trigger levels.

Th辿venin's theorem states that any linear two-terminal circuit can be replaced by an equivalent circuit consisting of an ideal voltage source (VTh) in series with a resistor (RTh). VTh is equal to the open-circuit voltage at the terminals and RTh is the equivalent input resistance when independent sources are turned off. To find the Thevenin equivalent circuit, first the load is replaced with an open circuit to find VTh, then independent sources are turned off to find RTh, the resistance seen looking into the terminals. Once the Thevenin equivalent circuit is determined, it can be used to solve for voltages and currents in the original circuit.

Chaulukya or Solanki was one of the Rajputs born from Agnikul. In the Vadnagar inscription, the origin of this dynasty is told from Brahma's Chauluk or Kamandalu. They ruled in Gujarat from the latter half of the tenth century to the beginning of the thirteenth century. Their capital was in Anahilwad. It is not certain whether it had any relation with the Chalukya dynasty of the south or not. It is worth mentioning that the name of the dynasty of the south was 'Chaluky' while the dynasty of Gujarat has been called 'Chaulukya'. The rulers of this dynasty were the supporters and patrons of Jainism.
