Librarians could build goodwill in our communities and, more importantly, help increase the awareness of the skill sets we possess, by participating in "skills-based volunteering" with local organizations. I proposed bringing Librarians Build Communities, a program designed to help with this process, to Alaska, in a 20 slide x 20 second per slide presentation.
