Nile crocodiles can be distinguished from alligators by their wide and short mouths compared to alligators' long and skinny faces. They have large, sharp teeth that they use to eat mostly meat from animals like zebras and oxen. Nile crocodiles live primarily in the Nile River and are called Nile crocodiles due to their habitat. When born, Nile crocodiles are only a few centimeters long.
