The uvea consists of the iris, ciliary body, and choroid. The iris determines the intensity of light entering the eye and provides a unique identity for individuals. The ciliary body is made up of ciliary epithelium, stroma, and ciliary muscle layers and produces aqueous humor while supporting the lens and enabling accommodation. The choroid provides nutrients to the retina and prevents internal reflection of light within the eyeball.
