Introduction Style The word style is derived from the Latin word stilus which meant a short, stick, sharp at one end and flat at the other, used by the Romans for writing on wax tablets. Stylistics is the scientific study of style. The science that has style as its object of study,i.e. stylistics, raises many problems when trying to define it and set its field of investigation. Dont use complicated words 6. Dont use many commas. 7. Dont use more than one sentence. 4 Features for Stylistic Analysis 1. Situationality The statement was published in The Nation Newspaper Islamabad, Sunday, December 10, 2017. 2. Acceptability The statement is about lauding police for maintaining law and order in AJK. This text is acceptable in any situation and society. It is not about any type of creating violation or threat in the society. 3. Intertextuality The statement is to aware the world that AJK police is enable to defend the Azad Jammu Kashmir from his enemies. 4. Diction The use of diction in the statement is very simple and the use of diction is according to the situation and caliber of the readers. 5. Coherence The element of coherence is also there in the text. The text makes sense to both readers and writer what is intended to say in the statement. 6. Cohesion The statement has been written in an organized and coherent way. All the individual words show grammatical unity within the statement.
5. Conclusion This statement is to appreciate the performance of police for maintaining law and order in the region and for sustain peaceful situation in Azad Jammu Kashmir. I have used the features of stylistic analysis to analyze the style of Newspapers Statement. Like its Morphological features, Lexical features, and Syntactical feature, etc
