What have you learned from your audience feedback?
In order to make our music video the best that it could be, we asked people what they
thought of it via social networking and asking them face to face. Using the feedback
given to us, we made some adjustments to make the video better.
The main feedback we used the most was the social network feedback acquired via
facebook. To get this feedback we shared the video to facebook and asked people to
leave comments, which we then reflected on to improve our video. One of the
comments stated that they felt some of the shots went on for too long. Upon
reflection, we realised that this was the case. To fix this problem we decided to break
up some of the longer shots with quick flashback type shots, meaning there were no
continuously long shots with not much happening. Although the comments were
quite useful for us making improvements, some of them where ignored as some
people just stated that they didn't like the choice of song. Since these people aren't the
target audience we decided that this isn't something we should take into
consideration. It was also too late to change song by this point.
As well as the feedback from social networking, we used feedback given by some of
our classmates. A lot of the feedback from this was the same as the feedback given on
facebook. However, there was something that was said that helped us to improve the
video. One person pointed out that some of the edits were a little off in timing,
something we didn't manage to notice. After being told this, we looked back at the
footage and noticed that some parts could probably be tidied up, which we did.
