Philosophy
Writing is a miracle. You can travel
anywhere in the world, to any time and
any place and still be home in time to
have dinner. (Pope Osborne, 2013)
Why Mary decided to write:
Mary began to write one day out of the
blue about an eleven-year-old girl who
resembled herself as a child.
Once her book was published and titled
Run, Run, As Fast As You Can, Mary
decided she wanted to be a writer.
A lot of Marys books are based on the
stories of her childhood.
(Mary pope osborne, 2013)
Hopes of accomplishments:
Mary hopes to provide young girls with
female hero characters (EBMA).
She hopes to make children want to
read, read, read!
Important Quotations by Mary
Learning to read and loving to read
can be a passport to freedom. With
books, children can travel over
boundaries and borders. They can
gain knowledge to help overcome
the hardships they face. They can
discover the best in themselves -
and then use their talents to help
others,(Pope Osborne, 2012).
And then everything was still. Absolutely still,
(Pope Osborne).
What Critics Say

scientific facts and historic detail in an
